Flinstones are actually a very good vitiamin for anyone. You need to research to find which brands have been proven to be well absorbed by the body as it doesn’t do you any good if the vitamin is not absorbed well by the body.
You do not need vitamens if you eat a normal diet. It is a waste of money. Do some reading on this.
the best vitamins are foodstate like new chapter and mega foods. But you probably shouldnt start taking them until about 20 or so.
a little extra vitamin c never hurt anybody.
food state vitamins are vitamins made from food products instead of synthetic so you are getting natural food concentrated in a little pill to give you the nutritional advantages.
Try out. ITs good
Make sure the choice you make, no matter what brand, is a ‘chelated’ form, which is the proper form of vitamin, which is easily and fully assimilated into the body. Take a multivitam AND mineral to save money and get a full spectrum of nutrients. The brands vary, so pick one in the above ‘chelated’ form, from a pharmacy where a pharmacist can offer you some assistance. Aside from this you might want to add a sublingual (dissolves under the tounge) form of b12, which makes the day go by easily and stress-free, among other effects.
What’s your diet like, Lizzy? Eat a healthy, balanced diet incorporating all the major food groups and you shouldn’t need a supplement.
Lean protein, wholegrains, healthy fats, low fat dairy products, fresh fruit and veg are all packed full of nutrients. Eat these at each meal and ensure that you eat at least 5 servings of fruit and veg a day and you’ll be unlikely to be deficient in any micronutrient.
Having said that, eating the ideal balanced diet on a daily basis can be a challenge. If you have a busy lifestyle or simply don’t like or can’t eat nutrient dense foods like vegetables or oily fish, then a supplement might help.
Some supplement manufacturers make a multivitamin and mineral line for teens or young adults, so it would be worth checking reputable online stores or your local specialist health food or supplement store.
Do remember, though that supplements are just that – they’re designed to supplement a healthy diet, not to replace it. If you’re concerned about your diet or general health, it might be an idea to have a chat with your family doctor before investing in vitamin supplements.
Good to see that you’re taking an interest in your health, though!
