The Vitamin D Cure

The Vitamin D Cure is a breakthrough way to increase your energy, decrease your pain and slim down, using the latest scientific research. We’ve long known that healthy Vitamin D levels are related to strong bones, but several recent peer-reviewed scientific studies have clearly shown that Vitamin D also decreases our risk of getting overweight and developing high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, cancer, and other health problems. This book-the only one of its kind-introduces a simple plan to increase Vitamin D levels in the body through simple, individualized supplementation with Vitamin D, carefully increased sun exposure, and exercise. Through its clear and down-to-earth five-step plan, The Vitamin D Cure shows how variations in our diet and activity levels can have a profound impact on our health and well-being. This groundbreaking program provides a broad variety of benefits: readers can increase their energy, lose weight, improve their mood, and reduce their pain. James E. Dowd, MD, FACR (Brighton, MI) is a clinical associate professor of medicine at Michigan State University and the founder and director of both the Arthritis Institute of Michigan and the Michigan Arthritis Research Center. I’m afraid that next week we’re going to be told that Vitamin D is the worst thing in the world.
You just can not get enough Vitamin D from our current food sources and not even from the sun because the bulk of us live in the northern hemisphere where the sun does not give us enough UVB rays to manufacture it internally. Dr. John Cannell, a prominent expert on the subject and his wife take in excess of 5,000 IU of Vitamin D3 daily and more than 5 times that in the winter and they are probably the healthiest peole on the planet
use code DIS119 to get a very special discount at iherb on vitamin d….
@tajicentre
You removed the sentences from context. Of course all dairy products have Vit D in them, they are FORTIFIED.
“Food fortification is the public health policy of adding micronutrients (essential trace elements and vitamins) to foodstuffs to ensure that minimum dietary requirements are met.”
There, now you understand.
You’re kidding aren’t you?. Liver oils containing vit A can even kill. He was referring to explorers who ate real wild bear liver! Interestingly the current claims for Vit D are suggesting that Vit D has a protective effect for excess vit A consumption. The claim is that a balance is required. Vegetable ingested Pre- Vitamin A ( beta carotene ) is no problems, but cod liver oil is, as it is too LOW in protective vit. D! Eat colourful veges or take beta carotene supplements for Vit A :)
But are you getting sufficient Vit D? Unlikely if not spending time outside of the kitchen and organic food supplies!
He contradicts himself within seconds too. /Foods per se dont have enough Vit. D in them’ / ‘milk….cows dont put it (vit D) in there.’ “All dairy products have vit D in them…” cheese.. has very little in them” . Whoa? Please Mr Vitamin D Cure clarify as this video grossly undermines your credibility for the Vit D claims.
Foods have negligible amounts of vitamin D. I am shocked this doctor is advising people to get their vitamin D from vegetables. How inaccurate. No wonder so many people continue to be low in vitamin D!
@schlongdog: where do you find this polar bear liver? I looked for it in whole foods but didn’t see it. k thx
@wolfhalen
All certified organic whole foods are your best bet,ust don’t buy processed,and prepare all your meals from scratch,like I do,
since I started eating a mostly raw organic whole food diet,I have saved so much prep time in the kithcen and money.
This asian guy talks too much. He should just say to take you D3 pill each day.
You probably mean 50000 IU per week. Or about 7,000 a day.
Vitamin A is easy to overdose on, however, vitamin d is not. 5,000 IU is ok, and It’s how much I take.
@sonofdazhbog
Vit D takes excess calcium out of the blood stream and puts it in the bones
I never realized how much it is needed. I use to be more worried about the suns rays, always wearing long sleeves and pants. and now I know why I always felt so bad.
Thanks again for your concern. Current normal range for 25-OH-D3 levels is 20-56 ng/ml and optimal range 45-50 ng/ml. Some studies recommend even higher! With my levels around 40, I’m well within normal range. Personally 5,000 ui’s daily is working for me. We all metabolize nutrients differently, some will need higher amounts and some lower to maintain healthy D-levels. Everything in moderation and you MUST monitor bloodwork to maintain healthy levels for your personal needs. Have a great night.
Natural isn’t always harmless.
The explorers who ate the polar bear’s liver that contains huge amount of vit. A got violently sick. People develop nerve damage from overdosing on vit.B6 from “Mega -B” pills. I saw once a girl who lost her kidneys from taking too much Iron… Trying to alleviate toxicity of vit.D mega doses by taking vit.K (that also can be toxic – blood clots, kidney damage) is a bad idea. Be smart.
If somebody claims he can “cure all diseases” – it’s usually a quack.
Thank you for your concern sonofdazhbog, you are correct, calcium may end up in the wrong places in your body like the arteries or kidneys. But what you didn’t include in your feedback was that this issue can be thwarted by taking another fat soluble vitamin, vitamin K. Vitamin K turns on proteins that direct the elevated calcium to bones and teeth where it belongs. Again I appreciate your concern. Closing note: D3 cholecalciferol IS a natural source derived from the lanolin in sheeps wool.
You call yorself “natural” and you take
5,000 IU of vit.D a day? lol
Do you know what excessive amount of Calcium can do to your body? May I ask you something – when you get kidney stones and renal failure please post a video about yourself as a warning to all fools who blindly believe the quacks paid by vitamin companies and happily gorge on any pills as long as it comes from GNC store. Vit. D supplement is a good idea (especially in northern areas) but you need to know what you’re doing!
Took me 4 months to normalize my levels taking 5,000 IU’s a day sublingually. Had to ask my Dr. to test my D3 levels, as it wasn’t part of my normal labs with my physical. How is this possible with all the studies about D these days?
Thanks so much for this video.
No joke, unless placebo effects, last few days been on tinned Salmon and Sardines, attitude not only improved, at work I beat my best practice target by 5 minutes, no complaints any more, I regret putting in grievance now over it.
I just crack on.
Unless because I’m eating more, perhaps, my acid reflux was less bad and so less burning on my suspected es-cough-e-gus ulcer.
Awesome, must be something in it.
started to take because of swine flu threat and now don’t regret.
thank you for your videos,…i am learning alot from them,…you are so cool…
Thanks for the Info.
good ideas
it is getting harder to find food that is not highly processed and GMO infused
they also do not have to label GMO food
