@healthyvegan i love how even though we govt agency that was suppose to just protect us against just this kind of things…we are going downhill more than ever. I wish i could create a community with community kitchen with collaboration some doctors, personal fitness, and physical therapist. Of about 2000-5000 members. That kitchen would provide healthy daily food for all of? them, only the good food. While doctors would create specialized diets for new members. With plastic, hormones, etc..
@healthyvegan < I did have B12 deficiency after becoming vegan for a decade or so. Had bad sciatica issue partially due to B12 and also some injury from work. I feel that B12 and unknown mineral are lacking today. There was time we were able to pluck veg/fruit and eat these without too much washing. So I returned to more of moderate occasional egg + chickenfish diet.
Now I’ve vitamin D def. due to life style so looking into supplement.

@nerdymom2 it’s tough to say on iron – it’s best to go with blood test results? over time to make sure you’re getting the right amount
@healthyvegan am i fine with getting enough iron if i take iron supliments? im a vegetarian if it matters…….i dont feel as light headed as i use to but i am having trouble with finding fresh green leafy foods that contains lots of iron. my doctor told me to take suppliments for irons so i am doing? that. i have found that cherio cereal has b12.
@zoeyjusko Everyone needs to supplement, not just vegans. It is produced in your gut, and barely absorbed from animal foods. If you are? part of a growing group high risk of deficiency, you have to supplement.
Don’t worry, you’d have to do it if you were eating meat too.

oh crap, i have all of that! Even confusion, tingling/numbness in hands, faitgue, white spots on fingernails and i’ve been eating the ‘standard american diet’ my entire life up until a day ago. @MysteryManSSP I take an oral tablet, I believe it’s Nature Made B-12, 100mg. It comes with 365 tablets and I buy them at Costco. These work for? me, so maybe you can try them? Or something similar.
