What vitamin deficiencies can cause the tongue to move independently?
The tongue starts to feel swollen and almost loose in the mouth, and seems to move around a bit.

It happens every once in a while, seems to happen when eating, but it’s not always the same foods that cause it.

Not on any medication. Is it possible there is a vitamin deficiency, or a severe imbalance of vitamins such as too much calcium, too little magnesium?

I would say that it would be caused by the nerve supply of the tongue, the XII Cranial nerve. Now as far as lacking anything, any lack would show up in some other area also being that you describe a nervous movement and a ‘feeling.’ Do you have any kind of discomfort in the neck? Any discomfort in the interior midline just below the ribcage? The food you eat and the nutrition from it are sent to the head area from the blood vessels that surround the large intestine from that point. You could do an iridology self-exam to see if there is some hereditary issue. Shine a light in your iris and using the chart below, look in the 10:30 and the 3:30 areas on the left eye and 2:30 and 9:30 on the right eye for any ‘mutations.’ To protect enervation, I like to use B-12 vitamins, but since you are speaking of movement, there is the point of relaxation and for that I use Magnesium.
